Gotta Catch 'Em All

Sorry for not doing a blog post in a really long time! I'm just too lazy to upload my pictures! >< But anyways, I spent two hours working on these Pokemon nails last night, and I have to say that I absolutely love these! The Piplup one is not my own design, so I did find that on the internet, but Charmander and Squirtle are my own.

Anyways, I thought I'd start making a list of the nail polishes I use for my designs! So here goes!

On all of my nails, I started off with the Essie All In One Base base coat.

Black Friday/November Haul (:

Hi! Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving!

I'm back! And I sincerely apologize for the lack of blogging the past three weeks.. I was having personal issues and it was hard to motivate myself to do anything. But I am back now, and feeling much better!

So first off, I just wanted to say that I experienced my first ever Thanksgiving dinner! My friend invited me over to eat with his family, and it was really nice! And delicious! I had apple pie for the first time, as well as a real Thanksgiving meal. But yeah! Just thought I'd say this first. ^^

This was supposed to just be a Black Friday haul, but I actually went shopping the Sunday before Black Friday and got a few things as well, so this is kind of the general month of November!
Also, H&M opened at my local mall on the 17th at noon, so I've included those items too! And yes, I did go to the grand opening! Luckily, I happened to have a free period that day and I didn't have to miss class to go. But it was insanely crowded - the deals were great, though! So I'll probably start with that and work my way to the Black Friday haul.
Okay! Here we go :)

Forever 21 Eagle necklace, $3.36
Eh, I got this at the beginning of the month, so I figured I'd just include it in this post. It was originally $4.80, but they were having a 30% off jewelry special when I got it, so yeah! I think it's really cute, and it's a little shorter than the pendant necklaces I usually get. But at the same time, it's not too short. So it's a nice length.

H&M Opening: I spent a ton here because it was just opening and there were a lot of deals. Plus, they gave out these $10 off $50 coupons, so I figured I'd go ahead and get stuff and I could return it if I changed my mind.

Maroon elbow-patch cardigan, $17.95
I absolutely love this cardigan! It was a little pricey for me, but the color is beautiful and the elbow patches are so adorable! Elbow patches may be slightly on the dorky side of fashion, but I have to say that I think they're super cute!

 Cream sweater, $10
This sweater was one of their opening deals, and it was originally $17.95. The sweater is slightly cropped and it's crewneck, and I just love the boxy design of it.

 Burgundy striped tee, $12.95
I thought that the design of this tee was really unique. The front has small stripes with larger rugby stripes on the sleeves, and the back is the other way around. I think the color is really pretty as well, and it's just a cute, casual tee.

This shirt was just a steal, and I couldn't pass it up. It was originally $12.95, but again, it was an opening deal! It was available in black, deep purple, and hot pink too, but I'm really into the neutral gold/brown colors for the winter. I think it fits really well, and is really versatile because you can dress it up or dress it down and the color goes with everything.

Turtleneck cream sweater tunic, $10
Again, this was an opening deal and it was originally $24.95. I'm not entirely sure whether or not I love this sweater yet, but I figured that it was a pretty good deal and I am lacking sweaters. It's kind of different, and isn't something I would usually wear, so we'll see! It's really comfy, though. :)

Target: I went went shopping here for my friend's birthday present, and picked up this shirt while I was there! It's kind of like a poncho, almost! Haha, I thought it was really cute, though. I think I got it for like $12? I'm not entirely sure! x)

Sunday, November 20th: It was my friend's birthday and she wanted to go shopping for part of it, so we did! I didn't spend a lot because I was saving up for Black Friday, but here's what I got!
Forever 21 Sweet bunny pullover, $10
This was a Yellow Tag Deal, and originally $16.90. I had been window shopping on the Forever 21 website and I saw this and thought it was super cute! So when I went in the store, I was determined to find it. Luckily, I did! It's really comfy ^^ And I think the design is adorable!

American Eagle owl ring, $3.33
I. LOVE. THIS. RING. It's an owl!! And I am thoroughly obsessed with owls, as you should know! x) I'm not a huge ring person because rings tend to just get in my way and get uncomfortable, but I've worn this a few times now and it's really nice! It's not extremely bulky and it's pretty smooth and it fits really well, so it's perfect for me

American Eagle ring cluster necklace, $3.33
I thought this necklace was really cute, and the mix of ring styles was cute! I've always wanted a necklace in this style, so I was glad I found it.

And finally...
Black Friday! I actually didn't get a ton of stuff, which was good. x) I actually didn't have much time to shop because I had to work. Six hours of standing at the cash register, yay... But at least I was in a booth sort-of thing, so the crazy Black Friday shoppers couldn't push me around. (I worked at a pretzel place at my mall.) Anyways, here's what I got!
Charlotte Russe leggings in lilac and burgundy, $3.50 each
I've been wanting these for a while, and I thought I was getting them for $5 each. So I was pleasantly surprised when they rang up for even less! I guess Charlotte Russe was having a 30% Black Friday special or something? But it was nice and now I have them, so I'm okay with it! ^^

Forever 21 navy cardigan, $9.99
Forever 21 was having a "buy 1, get 1 free" special for their sale items, so I browsed their sale section and found this cardigan! I'm a huge cardigan person because they're so versatile and you can wear them with all kinds of things. You might not be able to tell from the picture, but the back is actually longer than the front. I thought this was kind of cool, and I've been looking for tops with this style so it was perfect! The material isn't too heavy, either, so I think I could wear it year-round.

Forever 21 graphic tank, free
I got this tank for free with the cardigan, since it was a sale item. But I thought this was super adorable! I don't really have any graphic tanks, and this one really caught my eye!

Forever 21 camel classic crewneck sweater, $12
This was a yellow tag deal and I think it was originally $19.80? But I thought the material was super soft, and again, it's a nice neutral color.

 Macy's lace-detailed tank
This is actually a size Large and from the Women's petite section, but I figured that since it's just a vest, the size doesn't especially matter. Actually, I think the size just makes it longer, which is nice. I think it ended up being around $5? But I think this could be super cute with a sundress or a tank&jeans, and it's a neutral enough color where I could wear it with a lot of things. I've been wanting something with lace-detailing, so this was nice.

Hollister hoodie, $15
I actually didn't get to go to Hollister on Black Friday, but they ended up having a better deal the day after! So I picked up this hoodie for just $15. I got a grey one last year on Black Friday and I love it! Their hoodies are super comfy, and I've been wanting another for a while now.

Hollister gray&white striped crewneck top, $9.54
I love these casual tops, and this was just so soft and nice that I immediately fell in love with it!

Ahh! So many clothes! >< Haha, but I'm finally done with my haul! Maybe next time I should do a video if I'm doing a haul post? It might make it easier.. And I could try on the clothes and everything. Should I do that? Let me know what you think!

Anyways, sorry for the super long post! And hopefully, I'll be able to get back to posting more often. :)

Bye!

Outfit of the Day - Oversized Sweater&Tights

Today was a chilly day, so I decided to go with a casual, oversized sweater. The color of the sweater complements the purple tights that I paired with it, and I put on a pair of denim shorts to balance out the colors. The camera pendant was more of an accent piece. To top it all off, I wore my chestnut brown Uggs. This outfit was super comfortable, and I love the dusty rose and purple colors.

Top: Drop Shoulder Sweater, rose - Forever 21
Bottoms: High-Waisted Denim Shorties - American Eagle; purple tights
Accessories: Antique camera necklace - Taiwan

DIY Rings :)

Recently, I went to this artsy event and there was a booth there selling homemade jewelry. I saw these adorable button rings that I absolutely LOVED, so I thought I'd give it a try. It was actually super easy to do! I just kinda hot-glued everything together. Anyways, I think these are super cute and I'll probably be making more in the future! :)

Outfit of the Day - Flowy Tunic&Leggings

[Apologies for the bad picture quality..]

Today was a pretty nice day - perfect for a long tank top and leggings! For my outfit, I wore a two-piece tank-top - a solid, flowy grey tank over a striped, fitted tank - that I got in Taiwan and dark grey leggings from Forever 21. To accent my waist, I added a skinny brown braided belt from Forever 21. I wore a cutout flower necklace from Taiwan as my accessory. Since the entire outfit was pretty neutral, I pulled out my pink sweater Uggs(not pictured) and used those as my attention-grabber.
Hope you enjoyed!

My Five Favorite Things about Fall

Happy Autumn!

I don't really have a favorite season, but I do love fall a lot. I love the perfect temperatures, fall fashion, and just the overall setting. So without further ado and in no particular order, here are my five favorite things about fall:

1. The Fair
[This picture does not belong to me.]
I love the fair because of the rides, the food, the mini-games, the fireworks, and the overall feel of it. It's so much fun getting a group of friends together and enjoying ourselves there. (:

2. Boots
[This picture does not belong to me.]
I love wearing Uggs, because it's just like wearing a thick pair of fluffy socks! Also, they go with everything and are super casual. With jeans and a hoodie, you get the perfect casual, girl-next-door fall look.

3. Hot Chocolate
[This picture does not belong to me.]
Mm.. hot chocolate! Fall weather, to me, is the perfect weather for relaxing with a good book and a delicious cup of hot chocolate. Especially once it really starts cooling down! Where I live, the weather tends to fluctuate, so it's rather warm at the moment. However, last week, it was just the right temperature for this yummy drink and I had my first cup of the season. :)

4. Scenery
[This picture does not belong to me.]
Personally, I extremely dislike the color orange. Like, to the point where I don't even own an orange item of clothing. However, even I have to admit that in the fall, the reds and yellows and oranges juust blend together beautifully.

5. Halloween
[This picture does not belong to me.]
To me, Halloween never gets old. Even now, I still go trick-or-treating. Why wouldn't I? It's free candy! Haha, but also, Halloween's a time to dress up and have fun - whether it's for a party or just for getting free candy! I love to drive around my neighborhood and look at all of the Halloween decorations that everyone has - especially the creative jack-'o-lanterns!

So these are my favorite things about fall! Hope you enjoyed them! :)

My Everyday Makeup/Fragrance

The only makeup I ever wear is eye-makeup, with the exception of concealer when I need it. I always focus on my eyes because they're really tiny, due to my Asian genes. :P Anyways, the point is, I'm not a heavy make-up kind of person.

For concealer, I use Clinique's Acne Solutions Clearing Concealer in shade 03. I've been using this concealer since the summer of 2009, and I think it works really well. It lasts a fairly long time, so touch-ups aren't necessary throughout the day. Since concealer goes on the face, I tend to stay away from drugstore products since department store products are just better quality in my opinion.

On my eyes, I wear mascara, eyeliner, and the occasional eyeshadow.
The mascara I use is CoverGirl's LashBlast Luxe mascara in Black Emerald, which I have been using since January of this year. I love this mascara because it's got a slight shimmer to it, and it does a good job volumizing my lashes.
The eyeliner I use is Victoria's Secret eyeliner in Dark Chocolate, which I love! I've tried a lot of different eyeliners over the past three years, and this is definitely my favorite. It goes on smoothly and blends very well. I've been using this eyeliner for two years now.
I have three different eyeshadow palettes that I use:

Sepia Sand (Satin), Pink Flash (Shimmer), Iridescent Violet (Satin), Amethyst Spark (Shimmer)

I just recently got the CoverGirl eyeshadow in Urban Basics and the Estee Lauder palette, so I haven't used them for long. However, I love the colors in both of them. What I like about CoverGirl eyeshadow is that it's not extremely heavy and goes on slightly shimmery, which brightens your eyes.
When I use the Coffee Shop palette, I really only use the matte dark brown color and the shimmery creme color. The creme I apply on my inner corners and the dark brown I apply on the outer-thirds of my eyelid.
When I use the Urban Basics palette, I apply the shimmery white on my inner corners, the lilac in the center, and the shimmery brown on the outer corners. The brown in this palette is a little too light for me, so I usually apply the darker brown from Coffee Shop and apply the shimmery brown from this over it.
I love the Sepia Sand color in the Estee Lauder palette, and I will use it alone with just a dab of the Pink Flash(which goes on as more of a shimmery white) in my inner corners. Another color combination I use is Pink Flash on the inner corners, Amethyst Spark in the center, and Iridescent Violet on the outer-thirds.

Anyways, that's it for my makeup. For fragrances, I usually use one scent for a good two-three months before changing it up. Currently, I use Bath&Body Works' Paris Amour fragrance mist. I never use perfume unless it's a special occasion, and mists are light enough for school and every day use. My past favorites have been Victoria's Secret Pink's LIVE PINK and Victoria's Secret Pink's All My Heart, but sadly, both have been discontinued. :(

So I hope you enjoyed this post! I'm going to try to post at least once every other day... Personal goal right there.

Bye!

Forever 21 Haul, September

First post on this blog! I decided to make my first post a haul post, so here goes! Hope you enjoy! :)

Let me just say that Forever 21 is basically my favorite store, other than H&M. I love being the unique and eccentric styles that they have - along with the super affordable prices. Recently, I've been able to find a lot of stuff on sale, which never happens for me in Forever 21. However, this store is my downfall. x) In the past four weeks alone, I have made three trips to Forever 21 and bought at least one thing every time. -_- Fail, right? Let's just say I have an issue with spending money. The bright side is I'm a good deal-finder, and therefore I feel slightly less guilty as I get more for my money. Anyways, moving on... This is what I've gotten in the month of September! [I'll try to include links if I can find them! By the way, sorry for the awkward photos... Used my bedsheet as a background, so I ended up taking the pictures from an awkward angle.]

 Leaf pendant - $4.80
Stud earrings, set of three (damaged) - $0.99

 Heritage 1981 striped casual tee - $6.29

[For your information, I am obsessed with owls. And I'm not kidding when I say obsessed. I'll do an owl post sometime in the near future to prove it.]
Owl print socks, burgundy - $0.95
Owl heart ankle socks, creme/coral - $0.95

Braided skinny belt, tan - $2.50

Long black cardigan with grey diamond embellishment - $5.59

I think my favorite item in this haul would have to be the cardigan, mostly because it's super cute, comfortable, and it was really inexpensive! Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this post! Comment or tweet me @wizardnotmuggle to let me know what you thought about this first blog post or to give me any suggestions for future posts.

Thanks!
